"Temple of the Twelve"

Complications after arriving at the university and trouble at Five Arches.

Upon arrival, the crew is met by their contact Whaloss, a native lashunta post-doctoral student at the Qabarat University with a history of consulting with and for the Starfinder Society. Whaloss arranges for transportation and makes small talk with the group as they head to the school to consult with the linguistics department on behalf of the Society.

Things at the university are not so simple as seeing a professor. One of the faculty recently put the school in the media spotlight with a lecture that was viewed as endorsement of genocide. In order to get any of Professor Muhali's time, they will need to help her solve her problem.

Alabiens 21:2 is the name of Muhali's problem. The stubborn contemplative refuses to care that some were offended by his recent lecture. As department chair, Muhali has placed him on suspension and cut his access to the school's resources. Lance is able to convince Alabiens 21:2 that sometimes you have to do what is right for your career even if it seems pointless. The group negotiates his reinstatement to the satisfaction of both parties.

Now free to return to their reason for coming to the university, Professor Muhali agrees to look into the samples. She confirms the alien nature of the script, but cannot interpret them at all. She is also able to confirm that the same characters appear in some elven ruins in Ukulum. She advises the characters to speak with Dr. Solstarni to follow up on the writing and Ukulum. However, Dr. Solstarni is missing. The group helps investigate and discovers clues that lead them to a smuggler's den in the Gateway District of Qabarat.

Dr. Solstarni's office leads the crew to the Five Arches, where it appears she was lured by a fictitious scholar, only to be jumped by smugglers. After a short fight, one of the smugglers is questioned by the group and explains that they were hired to provide bogus Port Authority credentials and travel documents for a large group headed to Ukulum with special equipment and fungal spores.

When the characters head to the Port Authroity on the way to their aiudara to Ukulum, they are able to learn a little more about the group who kidnapped the doctor. A large group with a lot of muscle, but also a "sick kasatha" suspected of being Solstarni while drugged.

Each character receives X experience. One day has passed since arrival.
