Session 1 Recap - February 23, 2018

First Session Recap

The characters go from arriving at Absalom Station to investigating a gang scuffle.



As the characters arrive at Absalom Station to meet with a contact in the Starfinder Society, they find themselves caught in a gunfight at the shuttle bay. Their dwarven SFS contact, Duravor Kreel, is killed immediately by what appeared to be a stray blast. Lance took significant damage in the exchange, but was quickly healed by Stella.

After reporting the incident to Chiskisk in the SFS, the characters were asked to check into the incident a little further. After a full day's worth of investigating various sources and methods, they learned a little bit about the gangs involved, the Downside Kings and the Level 21 Crew, and that the gangs were proxies for other interests. The Downside Kings were hired by a ruthless mining company, Astral Extractions, to harass a local mining union called The Hardscrabble Collective. It is still unclear if Kreel was directly targeted or not, though that appears to be the rumor.

The next day they visited the leader of the Level 21 Crew, Jabaxa. Although the gang would not commit resources to a reprisal, they were willing to provide some further information, and corroboration of some of what they learned the day before.

Now the characters are on their way to confront the Downside Kings...

Each character receives 700 experience points.
