You heard me Lancers and Lancettes! Yours truly has acquired a tip off ahead of the broadcast, and we will be covering the Livestream of Lance in a Liveblog here! HIT THE JUMP! WOO!
Ten minutes ago, I received a priority message from a friend of a friend of a reporter who has contacts in the Eoxian embassy. As a result, I was able to get to the feed from the VERY START! Now, if you are joining in late or who lack the connection speed, do not worry, I will be covering everything here live. All timestamps are in local Absalom Time.
[14:20] Lance and his Starfinder team have just departed from the station. So far the feed is holding up well. My AI has determined that it should take Lance 118 minutes and 26 seconds to reach their destination.
[14:25] I have confirmed that the vessel Lance is commanding is an Absalom security craft named Acreon. Sure to be a future museum exhibit! It is a Ringworks Wanderer and you can learn more about the ship here!
[14:52] So a little boring watching them fly. Some might enjoy the view of the station, however, I have been using my time to run some facial recognition scans...I am learning a lot about Lance's companions and will update everyone soon.
[15:32] TROUBLE! If you haven't been paying close attention to the feed, shortly after passing by the raft of vessels called "The Armada", a small interceptor has moved in to attack! Stella is attempting to outmaneuver the craft, but it is too fast.
[15:33] Weapons fire confirmed. Keep Lance in your thoughts. Things are happening fast.
[15:35] Lance leads his loyal crew to victory! The attacking craft has been shot out of the sky thanks to Lance's noble leadership. Yes, I am aware of the distortions, but I am going to get to the bottom of the attack craft as best as I can.
[16:22] They have made contact with the quarantined Hardscrabble Collective Starship Acreon. Once again, the danger level is rising, so if you are religious, offer up some sacrifices, light some incense, swat your back with a switch, or whatever the heck you do to make your god happy. Please.
[16:35] Suited up and making their way to the ship.
[16:37] WHAT THE HECK IS THAT?!?!?
[16:40] AI is reporting the creature encountered is called an akata. These things are bad news. Hopefully that is the only one.
[16:44] So there are more akatas...Lance and the crew have sealed several up in the bridge.
[16:55] GOBLINS LOVE LANCE! Yes, two of the little scavenging jerks were found holed up on the ship, and one is a LANCER! Or Lancette. I cannot tell with goblins. The other is paste.
[16:56] My AI has discovered that the Vesk accompanying the Starfinders is named "Hammerfist". Well, in civilized languages he is. No clue about his native name. Hammerfist has apparently seen action as a bodyguard before as part of Mz. Misses Jr's entourage for the avant garde performer's "Hivemind Tour".
[17:02] More akatas in engineering...
[17:15] Feed lost...they were about to enter the port side cargo bay and the feed dropped suddenly. I am working to recover it and discover what happened.
[17:22] And we're back. Everyone seems fine, will do what I can to recover the missing footage, promise!
[17:31] They have secured the bridge and the ship! Heroes!
[18:00] We are having difficulty with the feed again, since Lance entered the asteroid called "Drift Rock", but it looks to be normal interference the big hunk of rock itself. It almost appears as though there is a structure within.
[18:12] More violence, but impossible to tell what is going on effectively. It appears as if corpses with purple tongues are trying to kill our boy! But Lance is not having any of it, no sir!
[18:20] We are calling it quits with the live blogging at this time due to the signal interference. I am using too many resources trying to clean up the noise and need to focus. Keep Lance in your hearts and prayers, but he seems to be surrounded by capable followers and helpers! I will post an update just as soon as I can, but I need to focus on getting the best record of Lance's heroism as I can.
