Captain Lance Harker's New Vessel! We got the deets, Lancers and Lancettes!

Lancers and Lancettes, our boy has worn a lot of hats over the years (yes, that is a dumb jokey reference to "The Elven Haberdasher of Golarion" what a fantastic, if underrated film!), but over the last few weeks we have seen him add ship's captain to his repertoire.

And yes, I have sent him a replica of an old Castrovellian tricorn. Want to know about the starship he now commands? After the jump, baby!

Sanjaval Vagabond
The Sanjaval Spaceflight Systems Vagabond-class multipurpose light transport/freighter is a versatile workhorse with a reputation for durability and reliability. In service for over 100 years, Vagabonds are still regularly used throughout the Pact Worlds as cargo haulers, smuggling ships, and exploratory survey vessels. While a crew of six is the standard complement for the Vagabond, the ship’s coordinated control interface and double redundancies on critical systems were designed to allow a single pilot to operate the vessel with little difficulty.
That's just the quick blurb you get from your average infosphere search. The Vagabond is intended as a multi-purpose vessel capable of small scale scientific expeditions, far-trading, or sight-seeing. Sanjaval's spheresite indicates that flexibility in use is their main design theme and uses the modular nature of the vessel to beef up sales of both the Vagabond and support it's custom ship module sales. It has proven to be a popular enough concept given the long service life of the vessel.

Now, the standard model comes armed. As far as I know, the previous owner of Sunrise Maiden did not change out the standard weaponry, so Lance's ship should be packing a gyrolaser, light lasers on both sides, and a turret particle beam.

Luckily, Lancers and Lancettes, really old data can be found or purchased cheaply. Because of this I know that Captain Nash outfitted the Surise Maiden as a long-distance trader or exploration vessel. From the manifests and documents I have uncovered, it looks as if she kept her crew flying in an ever-volatile era for a long time. She is credited as a surveyor for several systems and discovering more than a few worlds, including Morakes, which was Lance's third stop on the farewell tour for "The Zenith Point Boyz"! Clearly a major historical event!

It seems she hit a streak of terrible luck, however, in the last two years before her disappearance. She returned to the Pact Worlds after one expedition only to find her artifacts and discoveries fully quarantined. An over-reaction to the Akiton incident of 240, as best as I can tell. Having lost a fortune when those quarantined items were "lost" the next year, she took on a risky venture near Vesk space that claimed her crew, including first mate and husband, Tor Jakes.

Things after that become rather difficult to track. My guess is that she was taking dangerous contracts with shadow governments or crime syndicates when her vessel was lost to the Drift. Now, however, Captain Nash's story has a conclusion. She had the honor of being laid to rest by Lance! I know, right? Something we ALL want! Lucky ghost lady!

That's it for now Lancers and Lancettes, now if you'll excuse me, I have a date!
